Whether boating, fishing, swimming, or just relaxing under a Carolina blue sky, you will enjoy your vacation in this immaculately furnished waterfront home on beautiful Lake Gaston in one of the most desirable coves on the lake-Pea Hill Creek. The water is 6.5 feet off the end of our dock, our kids do flips off of our sun deck but we don't allow them to dive. The brand new dock is very wide with a ton of shade, a bar, a refrigerator, sink and 3 ceiling fans. There is an upper deck with chaise lounges for the folks that want to sunbathe. As you can see from the pictures, we are tucked back in a very private cove, but when you go out of our cove, you are into the main channel of pea hill creek. It's an awesome cove with a very long sandy beach that has chairs on the beach for 8!
Relax in this open 3 story floor plan home with five bedrooms (4 queens, & 2 twins, and 4 bunk beds) and(2 full baths, 2 1/2 baths, and an outdoor shower) . The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing simple or sophisticated meals with a large dining table (sits 8) bar will seat 4, to serve your family and guests. There is a huge deck that spans the entire lakeside of the house with 2 tables that seat 12. The living area has a flatscreen TV, comfortable sofa, love seat, chair and fireplace. Large Playroom with flatscreen TV (cable provided), DVD player, CD stereo. Master BR also has a flat screen TV. Both kids and adults will enjoy a large selection of DVD movies, music CD's, board games, and puzzles. The view from the living area and deck is spectacular. The master bedroom has a separate entrance onto a 2nd story deck.
We have built a brand new 2 level boathouse/dock this year that has both sun and covered decking with chaise lounge chairs on the upper deck, 3 ceiling fans, a bar with stools, a swinging bed, a full sized refrigerator and sink. Tie up cleats are provided to easily secure your watercraft to the dock (no lift). You will have access to the community boat ramp for your convenience. Lazily float on a raft while the kids jump off of the 2nd story dock and swim in this protected inlet that is only a few minutes from the main cove away from any boat traffic. Enjoy taking the kayak and paddleboard out for a peaceful, early morning nature tour around the cove. For the more competitive at heart, there is an outdoor ping pong table on the patio, a badminton court, beerbsie, horseshoes, and a foosball table in the basement. There is a firepit on the beach for a an evening fire and smores with the kids. There are also bikes that are available. Or, just relax in the backyard hammock or swing overlooking the water after a busy day on the lake.
