Come and get a taste of Avon’s fabulous vacation home, Mad Hatteras! Enjoy a fourth-level-back-from-the-ocean location; depending upon your pace, the walk to the ocean is five to eight minutes.
The ground level has generous concrete parking, two carports, an outdoor shower, storage, a fish station, and an all-weather entry. There is a washer/dryer nook on the first mid-level. Level one opens with the first bedroom is a bunk room that offers an LCD TV/DVD player combo. The second bedroom, a semi-main bedroom, has private access to a hallway bathroom with a tub/shower; lock the hall door and you have a main. The third bedroom has deck access to a hot tub on the screened porch; it shares a full bathroom with a shower with the fourth bedroom, which also has deck access. There is a half-bath on a mid-level landing.
The great room has tall ceilings, comfortable resort furniture, good views, a TV/DVD player, and a book library. A recent addition is a furnished media room (that's great for kids) with an LCD TV/DVD player and a supply of games. The kitchen is well-equipped, whether you choose to serve breakfast burritos at the bar or steaks at the dining table for eight.
Mad Hatteras is adjacent to a huge natural parcel with wetlands and a freshwater lake. With well-furnished sundecks, the daily views of the nearby wetlands and Pamlico Sound are incredible. Looking for a great house at a great price? Mad Hatteras may just be your cup of tea.
